Lido Azzurro Ristorante da Serafino 1953
A long beach of powdery sand, a lovely blue sea, one of the nicest spots on the island full of pubs, shops and discotheques where lots of youngsters go to. This place looks like Saint tropez in eastern Sicily. Serafino La Rosa founded in 1953 a wellknown and charming Restaurant, runned today by his sons Antonio, the barman, and Giuseppe, a sommelier and a connoisseur of food and wines.
It stands within a nice and well equipped summer resort, on the beach right by the sea. Let the tasty food seduce you. You will start with a salad of fresh tuna fish with Pachino cherry tomatoes, moscardini (a kind of small mollusk) with capers from Salina, delicious home made pasta with swordfish, eggplants and uncultivated finochio, or tasty ravioli with grouper and a prawn sauce.
You can chooseamong many different second courses: don't forget to try tha famous fish soup, made according to the same recipe for the past 50 years, the fried skate with Giarratana onions flavoured with Frappato wine, or rolled tuna fish. There is also a good choice of desserts and a higt quality wine list that includes more than 450 different brands and a large selection of distilled and dessert wines. Kind and nice girls assure an amiable and efficient service. An unforgettable dinner, lulled by the waves, in a nice and peaceful atmosphere.
