The history of Locanda Don Serafino is the history of the La Rosa family

In 1953 Serafino and Elia opened the doors of hospitality in Marina di Ragusa, by opening Lido Azzurro 1953 da Serafino, the historic family restaurant that still welcomes guests on the seafront of the village and where their sons Giuseppe and Antonio grew up.

At the beginning of the twenty-first century, Giuseppe and Antonio decided to start their restaurant in Ragusa Ibla; they dedicated Locanda Don Serafino to their father, to pay homage to him.
The cuisine is entrusted to a very young Vincenzo Candiano. A path of growth and transformation of the culinary philosophy that leads the chef from Scicli to obtain the Michelin star in 2007.

The boutique hotel was opened in 2004. It counts 11 rooms and it is located a short distance from the restaurant. A home, where you can be pampered and live the experience of local breakfast created by Vincenzo Candiano, served in the basement of the late nineteenth-century building.

Locanda Don Serafino has a contemporary and soft style, without excesses and with an eye to the past but without nostalgia. A natural inclination to select the best for the guests: the raw materials in the restaurant, a collection of over 1600 labels in the wine cellar, the value and respect of the territory represented by the uniqueness of the restaurant, the Luxury Suite and the warmth of Ragusa’s hospitality.

The most recent project started in Marina di Ragusa, Villas Don Serafino, a few meters far from the sea and a short distance from the beach club. A complex of seven independent villas with a garden, private pool and jacuzzi on the terrace from which you can admire the sunsets of south-eastern Sicily.
